Commercial Prime Lamb Enterprise

In addition to the White Suffolk Stud we also run a commercial prime lamb enterprise and turn off approx 800 lambs annually. These are sired by our White Suffolk rams with the majority being sold at 5-7 months of age and generally weighing 50+kg liveweight.. This enables us to set up for our next years lambing, and fits in with the cropping and cattle enterprises.
Depending on the season and prices we have the flexibility with our genetics to move into different markets and sell some lambs as trade or hold onto them and sell some as heavy export.

In 2010 we started selling our commercial ewe lambs as future maternal dams. We sold 200 of these lambs at 5 months of age which were 40+ kilos. The new owners will be joining them to lamb in late spring.
