Ehrlichiosis is a tick-borne disease in dogs that can result in death. Since 2020 ticks carrying the disease have been detected in South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia as well as NSW and Queensland. It is of particular concern for valuable working dogs and is a notifiable disease.
