Sheep breeders will now have access to a DNA test through Neogen Australasia to identify carriers of the Hypotrichosis recessive gene. Hypotrichosis is a recessive genetic condition that causes lambs to be born with no hair on the face or legs. Neogen is incorporating the marker for this condition into its sheep product portfolio including the genomic, parentage and other genetic conditions tests.
